Fishing Tackle Shops for Cold-Weather and General Outdoor Gear

"Visit a fishing tackle shop for cold-weather gear"

Some words from the tipster:

Common "outdoor gear" shops are not the only place to find general outdoor equipment for cold weather. Fishing tackle shops often have lots of gear for keeping you warm in winter.

This makes sense, really. People who fish in winter will get colder than most other outdoor types, since they will be sitting still most of the time. So any thermal clothing etc found in fishing tackle shops is likely to be very effective.

I've got a "thermal" suit for fishing. It's a complete-body thing, including hood. It's got an extremely thick "pile" lining - much thicker than the pile in a lot of outdoor garments I've seen in outdoor shops. And it only cost about £25.

So have a browse, you never know what you'll find!

You can talk about this here, if you want to.

If you enjoy making your own little brown fish, you might like these chaps. Or you might not.

If you can't be bothered to enter the forums, then shame on you! But you can still leave a comment below. Please try to avoid the profane ramblings of a madman. That's our job.
