Batteries in Cold WeatherSubmitted by Anonymous.
"Alkaline batteries are horrible in cold weather." Some words from the tipster: Alkaline batteries are naff in cold weather. The chemistry they use slows down a lot, and headtorches etc will become much dimmer and not last as long. Rechargeable NiMHs are better, and continue to work effectively, well into sub-freezing temperatures. Lithium batteries are even better still. They work in really cold temperatures. Some manufacturers claim Has that actually resulted in a spark of interest? Really? Well, why not discuss further? If you can't be bothered to enter the forums, then shame on you! But you can still leave a comment below. Please try to avoid the profane ramblings of a madman. That's our job. You can then whip them out whenever you need them. |
