Badgers and Mash

Conclusion

We've pored over the evidence and decided, unanimously and without a doubt, that we still don't know the answer.

On one hand, we suspect we have been lied to, and badgers do not love mashed potatoes. After all, they seem to eat them only as a last resort.

On the other hand, perhaps badgers do love mashed potatoes. So much so that they are connoisseurs, and will only eat posh mash. And they love posh mash so much that they fight over it.

We just don't know which way to go, so you'll have to decide for us.

One thing we did learn from this whole experience, however, was that on the night of the second test, Sainsbury's were selling Badger First Gold for 30 pence off the normal price. It was even on a stand all by itself. Outdoor Idiots.com will not let coincidences slip pointlessly by, so of course we had to get some, which we consumed while observing the experiment. It wasn't half bad.

You are obviously not professional zoologists, and have never really studied Mustelid ethology, not like what I have done once.

Any real pro knows that because the mash was posh mash, they were saving the best till last. Bloody amateurs!

It would certainly be a change in thier diet, peanuts and peanut butter sandwiches are a proven favorite but mashed potatoes would add some variety and everybody likes variety !
