Leatherman Blast ReviewSubmitted by An Outdoor Idiots Team Member. The Leatherman Blast: Wire CuttersThe Blast has two types of wire cutter located on the pliers. One is simply called a "wire cutter" and is presumably designed to cut electrical wire with relatively soft cores, e.g. the kind of wire that is used for household appliances, speakers etc. The other is called a "hard-wire cutter" which presumably is designed to facilitate your escape from prison. We will cover then hard-wire cutters on the next page. This page deals with the wire cutters.Here are the wire cutters in action: ![]() They do not have sharp edges: instead they are designed to shear the wire in two.
